The Truth On What Kombucha Does To Your Body DOCTOR RESPONDS!

Hey if you want to gain clarity on one
of the health trends that has been increasing in popularity over the past
several years I encourage you to watch this post to its completion so that you
can have a better clearer understanding of what the probiotic drink kombucha can
provide and how it can benefit your body and what might be more fiction and
fantasy regarding kombucha intentional moments of insight and inspiration are
why many of us come to YouTube to try to gain a greater larger understanding of
our collective human experience you know if you’ve seen other posts of mine that
I value scientific research and personal discovery I pay less stock in fleeting
fads and speculation and opinions and so I’ve done research for you to help you
understand what kombucha can do and what it cannot do for the body maybe you’ve
tried kombucha if you haven’t I would actually encourage that you try it if
you have you either do not like it because it’s too tangy too fizzy too
sour or you’re a huge advocate of it you drink it every single day maybe twice a
day you might visit one of these bars kombucha bars that are popping up all
over the country and have that tender draw you a draught of kombucha and
you’re an advocate for it and so there are two categories of people people that
don’t like kombucha people that love kombucha and can’t get enough of it of
course there are those of you who may not have tried kombucha again I
encourage you to check it out now kombucha is ultimately a fermented drink
from typically green or black tea although other herbs are used as well
oak leaves for instance be a third category of kombucha its
fermented with bacteria and a fungus it’s also called mushroom tea and on the
top after a week or two of the fermented drink you can get this growth of
mushroom and bacteria it’s called Scobie which is why they call it mushroom tea
now I want to delineate two potential benefits for kombucha number one is just
the aspect of it being brewed and fermented from green black teas so you
have the benefits of the polyphenols of green and black tea would have been
which have been associated with weight loss blood sugar control cholesterol it
helps to reduce risks for certain types of cancer it promotes immune health the
cabbage ins and epicatechin Xin green and black tea are helpful for the liver
detoxification processes and of course we know it’s high in antioxidants so
polyphenols and that’s just because it’s brewed from green or black tea the other
aspect of kombucha is that the fermentation process means that it’s
high in probiotics it’s high in organic acids and its high in glucosamine so we
know all of the benefits of probiotics it helps with digestive health it helps
with immune health it helps with mood and brain health
so probiotics in kombucha can be immensely beneficial for you the organic
acids found in kombucha can again help the liver to detoxify in the glucosamine
found in kombucha can help with joint health and skin health
we know that the probiotics are antibacterial to entero pathogenic
bacteria one study has shown that it may be helpful for fighting against eco lies
Shigella Salmonella and the yeast Candida now I would not rely on drinking
kombucha if you have an active aggressive affection of e.coli Shigella
Salmonella or Candida but it can mitigate and help reduce
affection against those in tarot passing bacteria now another study was cool that
showed that kombucha fermented and derived from oak leaves decreases
oxidative stress by improving the parameters of highly highly
pro-inflammatory cytokines interleukin 6 and tumor necrosis factor-alpha and if
we can decrease those pro-inflammatory cytokines we’re doing systemically the
body a great benefit now this is the caveat with kombucha some people just
simply love it so much that they drink too much and it could be dangerous I
would recommend that you that you limit your intake of kombucha to about 12
ounces per day and the reason is it is high in organic acids and in some people
predisposed with pre-existing conditions to lactic acidosis or liver toxicity you
can cause problems especially if you are home brewing the kombucha you have to be
really very careful if you’re home brewing kombucha because unless you have
experience with fermentated foods unless you’re creating the kombucha with
the scoby from and within really highly strictly sterile environments you can
start to grow certain types of fungus and bacteria that are not beneficial in
fact they’re harmful for the body that’s why I recommend that you buy commercial
because they they test their products to make sure that the the probiotics
contained in kombucha are the helpful ones and not the harmful ones the type
of yeast that has grown in the kombucha are the helpful ones and not the harmful
ones now what kombucha cannot do is cure everything some some proponents of
kombucha say it’s a panacea it’s an elixir that cures all problems that is
not the case it can help with digestion can’t help with immune health it can
help the detoxification with the liver it can help with
with joint health I had one patient in particular that came to me she drink
reasonable amounts of kombucha about 12 ounces every single day and and she had
some family issues that come up she had a death in the family and and a
stressful time in her life and so she gave up kombucha for a while and what
she saw was that her her joint pain came back she was distracted with family
elements and and eventually she started drinking kombucha again and her joint
pain went away so we know anecdotally that it has benefit we know through
studies that it has some potential benefit for the body drinking it
consuming it every day now if you’ve tried kombucha and you’re not a fan or
you’re intimidated by even trying kombucha you can get the same benefits
by group brewing a cup or two of green tea black tea every day consuming it to
get the beneficial aspects of those polyphenols we’ve actually created a
really high potent probiotic supplement called probiotic t-50 it contains 50
billion organisms eight different strains and so if you’re intimidated
with kombucha if you don’t like the taste drink a cup or two of green tea or
black tea every day take a high quality probiotic like we’ve created and it will
provide the same benefits I’m so honored and impressed that you give me your time
and attention again I value the truth in these fads
and I I’ve been researching nutritional medicine natural supplements for over 15
years I’ve got a great idea of what works how it works and what might be
more fantasy or fiction so if you have additional questions about influences
that you’ve had about certain natural products or nutrition or diet please
give me your feedback I want to provide you the answers so that you have clarity

I have drank kombucha before, but a lot of times it upsets my stomach. Same with taking a probiotic capsule and digestive enzymes. Do you know why this would happen?

I have been brewing kombucha for more than ten years for my son with Crohne's disease and for myself to enhance my immune system. Him and I have been a fan of kombucha at least three times per day at 16 ounces both home made and commercial and have not had any issues? I think it depends on each person and their immune system. I have drank it since it was first introduced by Dave in Cali with GTS. It is now a fad. I wish I could put my own on the market but it is highly competitive and no one will help me to get to the level of having it on tap and in stores unfortunately. Please share your thoughts. Thanks for the video and sharing your information. Shakiyla

I like the way you speak. You keep my attention well, like a good professor in college. I recently just finished my first kombucha home brew, made with my own scobi that I cultivated. Good stuff! Much cheaper than store bought.

Thanks for the great content

selling a competitive product eh? i think your leaving out studies that refute your 'concerns' .what about the history of kombucha ? GMO kombucha ? how does it work with nutrients ? most importantly is you don't have to pay to get the best [or cheap imitations pushed by well meaning doctors] ') my experience is,at 58 it has rocked my world !! IBD gone! allergies gone !! limp gone! recovery time from strenuous exercise shortened and use of aspirin gone . did you hear about the story from Chernobyl ?

For over 20 years I've been drinking home brewed kombucha, untreated spring water that I get at a spring in the woods, and raw milk and honestly I've never had a problem with any of them. However, unless it was an emergency situation and I had no choice I would never drink commercial milk, or municipal tap water. And as far as commercially manufactured kombucha goes a lot of the commercial kombuchas are pasteurized, destroying the many health benefits of the probiotic content in the drink (the heat during pasteurization kills the helpful probiotics found in the kombucha). Then you're offered a capsule with probiotics that you can spend your money one while you are spending your money on high priced commercial kombucha that has no health benefits. This video is in essence a sales pitch and that's ok but it would be nice to know that ahead of time. This kind of video makes people feel like they've been sucked in. Not going to give it a thumbs down though because business is business but I won't give it a thumbs up either.

Seriously thank you for taking the time to do all the research that you do and to make these videos! I adore kombucha the doctors were trying to tell me that I had IBS… It turns out my gut flora was just off so I started drinking small amounts of Kefir. And then small amounts of kombucha increasing it now but I don’t drink nearly as much as 12 ounces a day but I’ve noticed a dramatic difference in my gut! No IBS! 👌🏻 my doctor was trying to tell me to stay away from Green tea when it’s my absolute favorite thing to drink… Unsweetened with either peach tea or jasmine added to it! But I’m so happy to be back drinking my green tea again and to have learned about kombucha because my stomach and skin are doing wonderful! 👌🏻
