Sea Salt Cream Top Bubble Tea ♥ Drink Recipe

By Brian Lemay 49 comments

[MUSIC PLAYING] Hey, guys. It’s Angel. today I’m sharing with you a
new bubble tea drink recipe. It is Sea Salt
Cream Top Black Tea. Sea salt cream top black tea. Wow. that was a huge mouthful. But if I had to describe
how this drink tastes, I would say it kind of tastes
like a salted caramel beverage. It’s really good. So if you like
salted caramel, you will love, love,
love this drink. And I actually kind of
like it a little bit better than the original milk tea,
so definitely try this out. So with that, let’s get
started on the ingredients. For this recipe, we’ll start
by brewing some black tea. And I recommend using this
brand of tea, which is PG Tips. And they make a really
nice, bold black tea. We will also need
some sea salt. Make sure you’re using real sea
salt and not kosher salt. I’m using Maldon
Sea Salt Flakes. And for finishing salt,
which is optional, I have some black lava sea
salt. And I’ve gone ahead to just crush that up
into smaller pieces with the back of the spoon. We’ll also need 1/4 cup
of heavy whipping cream. Now, make sure your heavy
whipping cream is super cold before you go ahead and use it. And I like to make sure
it’s cold by sticking it in the freezer for
about five minutes before I’m ready to use. Finally, we will need two
tablespoons of cane sugar to sweeten our black tea. And also, optional, but not
necessary, highly recommended though, is some precooked boba. First, let’s brew our tea. If you’re using the tea
bags that I recommended, we’ll need two tea
bags and 1 and 1/2 cups of hot, boiling water. Let both tea bags brew
for a full five minutes. Then, remove the tea bags,
and add in your cane sugar. Give it a good stir so
the sugar dissolves. Then let it cool completely
before putting it in the refrigerator to chill. Now, I’ve gone ahead
to brew the tea earlier so we don’t have to wait. So this is cold,
sweetened black tea. Next, get out your serving
glass, and go ahead and add your boba first. One more scoop. Yay! Then, go ahead and
add your black tea. Next, add in a couple
ice cubes if you’d like. It’s already cold, but I’m just
going to add a few anyways. And now for our whipping cream. This is just whipping
cream here, extra cold. I’m going to add about three
pinches of sea salt flakes. I’m just going to seal
that up, make sure that the lid is really tight. We’re going to shake
it for 15 to 30 seconds to make whipped cream. So once you have
the whipped cream, you are just going to go
ahead and add that right on the top of this drink. And finally, I am just
going to top it off with a few pinches of
the black lava sea salt to give it a little
bit of contrast. And voila! So that is how you make Sea
Salt Cream Top Black Tea. If you like salted caramel
frappuccinos, salted caramel ice cream, I am
sure you will absolutely love this drink as well. Thank you guys so
much for watching. Give me a thumbs up if
you like this drink video. And don’t forget to subscribe
to my channel, Angel Wong’s Kitchen. And I will see you
guys next time. Bye. [MUSIC PLAYING]

If we can't find PG tea, what other kind of tea would you recommend? Earl grey, English breakfast, Chinese black tea etc.?

Angel! I love your videos, but your audio really needs some work. I would highly recommend a directional mic – the one I use is the Aputure v-mic d2 which is a very affordable alternative to the Rode mics. 🙂

I tried this recipe, and it tasted so good. However, my cream wasnt as thick as u made in this video. When i poured the cream into tea, it dissolved right away (it still tasted good, but i like thick cream 😆) Can u help me fix this??!!><

My daughter and I wanted to try to make boba at home and this recipe did not disappoint! We added caramel on top of the boba before adding the tea and also drizzled caramel on top of the cream. It was delicious and we’re obsessed 😋 Thanks for the fabulous recipe!

Thank you! This looks very do-able! Is the heavy cream portion for just 1 serving? If not, how many drinks could you top with the 1/4 cup of heavy cream?

Hi Angel. Just want to ask if the whip cream need not to be whipped in the machine? Per your video you just shaked the cream in the mason jar. What will be the effect in case it has been whipped? Thanks in advance.
