Schmitt Söhne Riesling – Fairgrounds Wine and Spirits Video

Hello everybody and welcome back to FairgroundsTV.
I’m your host Peter Moeller and today we have Schmitt Söhne Riesling. Now, my German is
not so good but this is from Germany. It’s a nice Riesling. Comes in a nice blue bottle,
a couple blue men on the shirt. Blue men, blue bottle. It’s quite light in color. Let’s
give it a sniff. It’s not too aromatic. Getting a slight apple, a little peach. A little fruity.
Let’s give it a sip. It’s nice and lightly sweet with some subtle green apple, a little
tartness on the sides of my tongue. It’s 9 percent alcohol, so it’s nice bottle of wine.
It’s kind of like in the middle, with the low being 5 and half, 6 percent and the high
being 14 percent. Kind of in the middle. You could definitely drink this with some, like
maybe a fish dish. A nice light fish dish. Maybe a ham. It’s got like that little bit
of sweetness so with a ham it may be fantastic. It’s a good bottle of wine. It’s nice and
light, another summer wine. I’m gonna stick to the summer wines. I don’t know why, maybe
’cause it’s hot outside. Give this a check. Schmitt Söhne riesling. And I believe it
says crisp and fruity on the label. We’ll see ya next time. Later!
