How to Pronounce Merlot? French Wine Pronunciation
Very very beautiful estate here… What is up guys? Julien Miquel here or
Social Vignerons. Welcome back to another wine video. And welcome to my wine school
here on YouTube where I share the passion and knowledge of wine. I am a
French winemaker wine writer and founder of one of the most popular wine blogs in
the world that is called Social Vignerons… Today we are going to
be looking at how to pronounce the name of one of the most famous of all red
wine types a grape that has fallen out of fashion a little bit since the movie
‘Sideways’ but that still produces some of the very best wines in the world
especially in its home town and its home region that is Bordeaux. We are going to be
looking at how to pronounce and why, more importantly, how to pronounce the name: Merlot.
Let’s go! The whole famous Merlot, the neglected and mocked Merlot wine, after the movie sideways. Yet, it delivers… tasty rich reds, all over California but
also the Bordeaux region of France where it’s got its genetical roots. Since the
movie sideways Merlot has been overshadowed by the now more fashionable, Pinot Noir.
Show not to pronounce Merlot? Well: MerloT. There is these meme
online that says MerLittle person… but rather i’m MerLOT person. But the
correct pronunciation is Merlot (without the T). And that was it for me today, pretty easy, not too difficult, was it? I hope you enjoyed this video… If you’re looking at learning more
