who makes wine videos here on YouTube yes wine videos and we are looking at
how to pronounce the name of this famous French white wine grape variety that
originates from the Loire Valley wine region of France and it does make in the
Loire Valley they make some of the best Chenin Blanc wines in the world for sure with such appellations as Vouvray, Savennieres, Mont Louis, and quite a few others as well some of the best Chenin Blanc wines do come from the Loire Valley in France but you will find some excellent Chenin Blanc wines as well coming out of South Africa a country that has adopted the grape quite
broadly as well and they also make some Chenin Blanc wine. So how do you
go about pronouncing this with the typical French pronunciation well I’ve
said it a few times already Chenin Blanc. Note that in French the C
at the end of Blanc is silent so the French do not say Chenin BlanK but
rather Chenin Blan do not say Chenin Blanc rather do not say Chenin Blanc but
rather sure nough Blanc the typical French pronunciation then Chenin Blanc. Chenin Blanc. Chenin Blanc, but it’d be fine in English or American to say Chenin Blanc Chenin Blanc. Chenin Blanc typical French pronunciation again Chenin Blanc. Chenin Blanc. Chenin Blanc. I hope this video was useful if it was
