To blend, you can take the lighter color and add another layer on top of the darker color. It might use more ink, but it blends pretty well. The darker color will fade in with the lighter color, thus creating a blend of the two.

What I do is put the blender down first that quickly apply both marker onto of there, this causes them to blend together rather then with out the blender underneath so I still find it useful, it took me a bit though to perfect it

I personally always use printer paper because the ink blends so much easier and maybe it's just the kind of maker paper I have, but every layer of marker dries extremely slowly causing me to smudge it at some point, and when I try to blend the marker looks streaky not the way it looks in your paper though. No matter how much ink I use it looks bad. I have paper from a good brand too soooo

I have some tips while drawing with markers!

– If you are drawing with pencil, you can dab the blender to the pencil lineart so i does not smears the line art!
– you can use blender to fix mistake! If you color out of the line, you can use the blender to fix it!
– i would recommend using cheaper marker before going to copics. Copics is a professional markers. They are also too expensive rather than a cheaper marker price is, and try to learn on how to use a marker first! Then you can go to copics!

Edit : I got these tips from my sister! She is really good at drawing!

In college is when my art took off I was all pencil until I was given a set of colored markers for Christmas, and they weren’t the best, but I learned from them. I was living legend early on in my first semester of college, but I made myself even more famous by putting my artwork all over the school.

Is there a fix, or am I doing something wrong myself, for when your market seems to be TOO juicy? I'll just be holding my marker and the ink will keep dripping out of it leaving dots everywhere or when I actually use it pools of ink just pour out onto my paper running everywhere. It's happened with multiple markers as well and it's scares me off of using my copics I spent so much on

You can use the blender to blend but you’ve got to color it with the brush nib of the color of your choice or you can use it to pick up lighter colors or create effects, it’s useful when you know how but I agree that it isn’t really for blending, also it’s hard to blend an B01 with a B50, but if you’ve got a B06 and a B08 you should be fine with layering both of them down and then using the lighter color to blend everything together (brush nib makes that a lot easier)

I’m not a fan of copic because there’s no real reason for them to be so expensive. I used chromatography to identify the fd&C colors used in each pen, hehehe… now I just need rubbing alcohol and I get free various ink for life lmao. Rubbing alcohol is cheap af and can be extracted from the fruit sitting on your counter (if you are prone to the forgotten fruit bowl, lol.). Fd&C dye is kinda expensive, but you can literally use food coloring for the same effect. Only issue is that you need to use a lot of serial dilutions to get that perfectly icy gray. (C-3)

What I do:
Sketch your drawing in a sketch book.
Then before you start coloring get scrap piece of paper or cardboard and have that under the sketch, ensure the size matches the size of your sketchbook.
Color.

I do this cause the special bleed-less paper you can get is very expensive and not something you want to waste money on if you can get 50x the paper at 90% the price.
I'd say only get the special paper if you are drawing for a client.

Also a lot of color drawing outcomes can be a result of what type of markers you have.

As for the colorless blender it should be called Colorless Vivid as it just lifts up a bit of the color making the original color tone brighter. I only use the colorless blender to push back color that has bled past my line art and to make some tones a bit lighter.
