After adding up all the dried fruit I come up with 14 1/2 cups, where does the 17 cups come into the recipe? Thanks

I have never mix or seen anyone make fruitcake like that without whipping the sugar eggs and butter, plus adding nuts don't like it.

I tried this recipe last year and it turned out sooo good. So far it's the best original fruit cake recipe I found in Youtube. I just regret this year I cannot make fruit cake again bec where in holiday abroad this Christmas. Grandma's fruit cake is the best.

I love these little fruit cakes and the decoration that is put on them. I will try this next time I make fruit cake. I like the idea of the water in the tin to keep them moist. We make it differently in England but I like this better. Thank you for your interesting video’s.

Instead of two cups of raisins, could you use two cups of high quality mincemeat? I don’t really care for all the raisins, but I love Black and Croswell mincemeat.
